Unlike his brother the Lookout, this is a naughty boy. He never looks directly at you. He is always with his head down, letting you know he fears nothing. He is the leader of the Purunget pride. He is the first to fight, the first to eat, and will be the first to die protecting his territory and family.

The Look Out male. That's his name for now. A morning wouldn't be complete without an appearance from him and his very naughty sidekick. We are still unfolding the story...

Maasai Mara, East Africa

A new face for us and quite the bully ..this character from across the river spent the morning terrorizing four lionesses with his accomplice. I found him again in the evening and they were all sleeping soundly together, including the accomplice.
