Mashatu

Just as we reached the hilltop I knew this evening would be like no other.  The weather was foul, it was cold, and an awful day for game viewing. The wind was so harsh that it was hard to look around.  But just as we were ready to give up, resting, overlooking the landscape, was the cheetah.  Frozen to even pick up my camera the cheetah looked directly at me, as if to say, we were here all the while, we were waiting for you.  Relaxed and undisturbed they could look down into the gorge from this resting place.  From here they could view the game below and any possible intruders. The cheetah has eluded me no longer.
