On 6th July 2013, SkyVets was dispatched, following a report from the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) about an emergency case involving an elephant with a snare wound on its trunk in Tsavo West. A helicopter, with KWS veterinary officer Dr. Titus Kaitho on board, lifted off from Nairobi and just one hour later it had reached the location where the elephant was last seen.

I have been having a bit of fun with Instagram and the panorama setting on my iPhone since I am relying on only cell service now. I have not abandoned my beloved Nikon, but sometimes I just need a rest, to have fun, and just enjoy the extraordinary Mara. Here are the Oloololo pride cubs stalking a buffalo...badly. I think they think the bushes are keeping them covered, but we all can see them just fine.
