I have been having a bit of fun with Instagram and the panorama setting on my iPhone since I am relying on only cell service now. I have not abandoned my beloved Nikon, but sometimes I just need a rest, to have fun, and just enjoy the extraordinary Mara. Here are the Oloololo pride cubs stalking a buffalo...badly. I think they think the bushes are keeping them covered, but we all can see them just fine.

The Mara has many secrets and this is mine. Today a lioness watches over the plains on the same spot that Massek and I normally sit.

The Olkejurungai Pride of the Maasai Mara is powerful and strong. Four females and one young male are in top condition and have no problem bringing this buffalo down. Notch and his sons still rule this side of the Mara River, patrolling all corners of the territory, terrorizing all intruders. This powerful young pride is safe within the boundary. The young male is Notch's son.
